We went for my husbands 84th birthday. Had a great time, the staff were very helpful, room was spacious, the food was self catering which we didn't mind.The entertainment was great & really friendly people.Will stay again next year.

Excellent hotel in every way. On arrival to departure the staff at the Crai-y-Don are so friendly, nothing is ever a bother and very helpful. The Entertainment on the 2 nights we stayed was brilliant, had everyone in the room involved with something for everyone. The food (we had breakfast both days and evening dinner once which was a great price for a 3 course meal) was lovely. Lots of choice and tasty. Our room with a sea view was spacious, warm and comfy. We’ve stayed here before and tried other hotels but I would never go past it now and recommend it to others. Thanks so much Crai-Y-Don we’ll definitely be back.

We arrived Monday 20 November. The rooms were clean and comfortable the good were delicious. The staff work hard and very friendly. The entertainment was fantastic

hotel provides good value for money,food was delicious,and met up with good company. evening entertainment was good.my only complaint was hotel bathroom was cold, so if we return it will be in warmer weather.otherwise top marks for the stay.must say staff were very good.

Beautiful stay as always, we love it here and come twice a year, around may/June then Turkey and tinsel in November wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Food is exceptional, great staff and lovely rooms, what else can I say apart from absolutely fantastic, shout out to Neil, nick and Dan see you next year x

Me and my sister did the Turkey and Tinsel week.It was fantastic, food, Entertainment and Staff.Seaview room was excellent. This was worth it. Would do this again.

Hotel was lovely and clean. Rooms were nice only complate i have is i could use the bath or shower as i can't get in or out due to having a bad back so had to use my friends shower in her room food was very nice. Staff were lovely

Rooms clean but tired. But cleanliness is more important. Love the self service style in the restaurant. Food is good and the home made soups are delicious. Great entertainment. Staff always friendly and helpful. I do hate to leave a negative. Our room was directly above the entertainment and the level of noise was higher than I would have expected to experience. Especially having paid for a sea view. If I could give any feed back. Advise people of the noise level. Or don’t charge for those sea views. It was out only spoiler not being night owls. But overall a great week. Will look at returning.It will ask for a rear room.

Bookeda 2 night stay on my own. Comfy spacious modern room excellent dining and entertainment brilliant too. Made it extra special as I arrived on turkey and tinsel midweek special so that was nice. If you are travelling on your own staff and guests make you feel comfortable and everyone talks to each other. definitely be coming back x

Craig-y-Don is located extremely well, right on the sea front. My room was just perfect for my stay. The breakfast was a busy place, but with a very efficient service at the buffet. All good.

Just returned from another fantastic stay. We are a group of mixed families and adultswhom are profoundly deaf. Our stay was made very relaxing and Neil was great at sorting us all out. The atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and entertainment was great.The rooms were clean and comfortable. If we had a request it was sorted immediately.The buffet breakfast was quality with alot of foods to chose from to start your day off.One of the guestscelebratedtheir birthday and the hotel were able to provide a cake and made her feel very special getting her up so everyone could sing happy birthday to her. (That was a special touch)The location is great with a tram stop right outside the hotel.All the staff were very friendly everyone enjoyed their stay we will be back.

Nice place, very friendly. Picked the wrong week it was extremley hot in the hotel and rooms. No fans so went out and brought one. Food was nice and entertainment was ok. Would stay again.

We’ve had yet another wonderful stay at the Craig-y-Don. A great location for all the entertainment and the three piers with a cracking breakfast to set us up for the day. We shall be returning.

Food and staff were so niceonly thing I didn't like was after dinner went into other place to play bingo and listen to music or act that was on and every time we were sitting next to a postcouldn't seeanything people had there seats with coats over there chairs other people were complaining also some had same seats for about six or or eight every night that included there children no wonder people were moning and came in later than us that was my only complaint so maybe you could look into it pleasewe really like the hotel and my daughter was coming on the Monday after we were leaving asher and a bus load of her bingo friends were with herit was alsous that recommend the hotel sorrywe not complaining just letting you know what's going on x

We arrived and was greeting with a smile and a warm welcome, lovely room great on suite, its situated about a 2 min walk to the central pier,10 mins walk to either the pleasure beach and the tower, the breakfast was amazing and the staff at breakfast were fantastic, would definitely be booking again, we went for the fire work championship that were only a 5 min walk to watch, you literally walk out of the hotel, across the road and there's the beach.

Won't be staying anywhere else in Blackpool now we have found such a fantastic hotel

First time we have been here and it did not disappoint. Staff couldn’t have been more warm welcoming, helpful and friendly, room was perfect and loads of room for all of us,wry clean and well looked after, food was to die for here. Evening entertainment was great aswel. Perfect for family’s. We will be back again next year

We enjoyed our stay at the Craig y Don very much ❤️. The staff are very friendly, the food is good, and the entertainment is enjoyable. The hotel is warm and comfortable. Although the room was a bit small, it had everything we needed and didn't impede our enjoyment at all. The beds was comfortable with a great seaview. I should have booked a room with a walk in shower as I had a problem getting in and out of the bath, and a handrail would have been helpful. However, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I will look forward to returning next year x

It was a brill weekend for me and my mate. We're both in our 70s but it was entertaining. Room was lovely and clean. The door to the rim was a bit hard to open. But apart from that it was a great weekend. And I was a judge for the fancy dress. Brill

This is the best hotel we have stayed in Blackpool, From checking in to checking out the staff can’t do enough for you. Every member of staff from reception, dining room, bar and entertainment and the behind the scenes cleaners, kitchen staff etc are polite always have a smile and do their job 110%.We have only one small criticism there wasn’t a plug socket by the bed to plug my mobile phone in. We will definitely be returning

On this occasion we were woke up by alarm Fri and sat.Got the fright if our life's .on Sunday am there was a terrible smell from the bathroom sink all night we smelled it.. awful..that was our reason for leavingon Sunday .. as we got the last room on site that weekend we thought there's no point asking for a change as there would be none available...people in room 84 next to us argued all through the night Friday also...apart from that we enjoyed our stay as usual. Good entertainment, food etc. Just very unfortunate on this occasion xx

Staff,food,entertainment and decor all fabulous. Only criticism, too many steps,inside,and out,for people with a mobility disability.

Just a couple of minor points to stop it being a 10 out of 10.Access via the front door was a nightmare in the high winds and the steep steps made it difficult for some of the residents.Hot Water in the showers on the top floor rooms was scalding and trying to get the temperature right in the shower mixture was difficult.No grab rails to get in and out the bath. Staff where amazing,food was amazing,location was amazing and the entertainment was spot on.Will definitely be returning.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at Craig-y-Don have stayed here many times over the years. We had a sea view room which was lovely, the room was very clean and comfortable. The en-suite was spotless. All the staff were very friendly, the bar staff were excellent always made to feel welcome. My Mum wanted to have a extra pillow, it was quite late in the evening and we asked the young lad at the bar, and he got one straight away for us, with no problem 😊 The breakfast was excellent. We went to the bingo in the evening & watched the entertainment which was great. Thank you for a lovely stay at the Craig-y-Don. We can’t wait to come back 😊

Just had a 2 night break here and can't fault the place rooms spotless with lots of facilities breakfast very good something for everyone bar and entertainment good fun shout out to Neil who is slightly mad 😆 had a lovely stay thank you hope to be back again sometime

I booked room 45 in sept 2022 on your websiteand paid my deposit. I contacted the hotel direct to confirm my booking twice before arrival. I wanted this room as my daughter and 5 month baby were coming with me and I was told there was a large opening window Incase it was hot.On arrival I was told I was in room 64.and no reason as to why I had been moved.,the weather was very warm and the room was very hot and no means of cooling at all. I was very upset to think I booked 12 months in advance and was givenroom 45 but had my room changed for no reason and without being notified. I have been to your hotel several times in the past.Apart from the roomchange we enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

I could have not picked a better week with the heatwave at Blackpool.The staff at the hotel are brilliant, they will bend over backwards to help you!Fantastic cooked breakfast and plenty to eat.A little disappointed that there was no fans available in the room and no air con in the bar and entertainment area.Found it difficult to sleep with the heat .

We have just had a fantastic stay at the hotel. All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was very clean and everywhere really tidy. The entertainment in the evening for the adults and the children was fab. Our grandchildren have loved it and did not want to leave. They have made us promise we will be back and we will. Last minute stay in a twin room.Friendly welcome, lovely breakfast & enjoyed the magician show.Room was too hot though - no breeze from the window, with window open it was noisy from a nearby hand drier & entertainment directly underneath

This hotel is well situated 100 metres down from central. Pier. The food (breakfast & evening meal) is of a good standard and plentiful good value. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment was ok also

Currently on the coach home from another stay at Craig-Y-Don. I travelled with my adult daughter whohas autism & as such, needs to feel secure in her surroundings in order to fully enjoy her holiday. This hotel provides everything we need & has a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Check in is simple & whoever is manning the desk, you are guaranteed to be greeted in a friendly manner.We had opted for bed, breakfast & evening meal which represents really good value, breakfast is self serve & there are so many choices, various cereal, fruit juice, toast ( as long as you’re patient 😂) sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, fried bread, eggs & hash browns. There are two choices of main course in the evening accompanied by varying veg & potatoes. Two choices of starters, usually soup & something else ( fish goujons & spring rolls were two of the options while we were there)always a hot dessert, ice cream & an assortment of gateaux & cheesecake..It is the staff at Craig y Don who make the place so special from the kitchen staff, dining room staff, cleaners ( beds made daily & clean towels when needed) to the front of house staff, special mentions on this occasion must go to Anna & Sara in the dining room, the lovely Neil who lives & breathes Craig y Don & Dan who is so polite & helpful whichever of his roles he is performing. Can’t wait to return

We had a brilliant time I was a little apprehensive as i myself have been coming here for years with my partner of 39 year s but sadly she died six months ago but I had nothing to worry about the staff were amazing as always my nephews mattress was broken so my brother in law approach the staff regarding this matter and it was rectified straight away so no issues as I have said we all had a brilliant time my sister and brother in law have never been before they truly enjoyed it I'm sure they will come again so thank you all very much everything was spotless as usual my niece enjoyed the children's entertainer I will see you all in November xxxx

The stay was good, but could have done without the constant reminders of what time the check out was, by cleaners and reception staff, it seemed a bit, you've had your staynow fuck off,but otherwise great.

Nice Clean spacious room with a sea view, and great staff. Breakfast Excellent,great joice and great food. Would have preferred parking facilities but wasn't a real problem!. Overall we had a Lovely stay!!

Absolutely 100% top service from every member of staff. They go out of their way to help you with any situation, they couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. All the rooms and amenities are clean and comfortable, the meals are spot on and cater for all dietary needs, well worth the price.Would like to thank Neil and his team for another enjoyable stay and we’ll see you all again in 2024.

We could not fault Craig y don at all. I would certainly recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. All staff fantastic from Neil and Stefan on reception to all bar staff. Especially Francesco and Nick. The cleaner who done a great job on room 75 was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. We will certainly be coming back to this hotel. craig y Don is in a fabulous location smack bang inthe middle of the 3 piers.There is a tram service wehich stops outside the hotel and one that picks up on the other side. The meals were fabulous, eyes bigger than my ..... i ate cerealgrilled breakfast and toast and jam cup of tea orange juice and then walked 8 miles along the beach to wear it off.The staff are friendly and helpful, that is all staff i and my daughter were really pleased and couldnt think of anything we would change.There is entertainmentthere and meals served in the evening, if its pouring down you dont have to go anywhere. will deffo be returning late summer with hubby.thank you everyone!XX

I visit Blackpool every year and I always try to stay here. It is perfectly located with the main attractions all within walking distance. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Clean room.Faultless. Highly recommended.

Happy and friendly staff. Make you feel welcome. Room very noisy though due to old building. Could hear all floor boards creaking above through the night and morning. Toilets being flushed.Need a lamp at side of bed.Would stay again but will ask for a quiet room or top floor!

Only gripe is entertainment room, far too small for amount of guests, unless you're sat in there straight after dinner, you've no chance of a seat, and you're sat there a long time until bingo at 8.30pm.

We have weekend breaks in Blackpool 3 or 4 times a year and generally try a different hotel each time. No more though, The Craig Y Don is fantastic. The Seaview room we were allocated was great. Exceptionally clean, bright, well decorated and the sea view was a sea view (not one of the type of sea views where you need to stand on a chair and lean out of the window sea views). The self service breakfast was brilliant and piping hot. Bar prices are standard pub prices. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.I slept like a log, but for my wife the mattress was a touch soft.We booked again whilst we were there, this where my only criticism lies. We looked for the dates we wanted on the hotel website and obtained the price, so we thought while we're here, we would book at reception, the price was £60 more booking at reception than the website. Hence we booked our next stay whilst having a pint in the bar from the website.It just seemed a tad unfair if you're a more senior guest who hasn't Internet access it could cost you more.Overall fantastic

Me and my wife absolutely loved our staywe got everything we requested ie ground floor room. Staff were very curtious at all times especially Young Franco who kept me supplied with Guinness 😆, but everyone played a part in making our stay very enjoyable, food was good and entertainment was great, room was a little cramped but adequate, we will definitely be staying there again hopefully next year

Our stay in June was such a lovely stay that we booked an extra couple of nights. The hotel was very helpful with us booking the extra days at short notice.The breakfast was tasty and had just what you needed. The entertainment was fantastic and crowd pleasing. I really have to put out a special mention to Francisco who was behind the bar and was so friendly and helpful, even when it was extremely busy he was still the star of our stay.

I’ve just had a lovely two nights in this hotel. Staff are lovely. My room was lovely and bright and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the evening meal of Roast beef dinner, prawn cocktail and treacle tart and cream was lovely and at an excellent cost of just £15.00. Will be staying here again in the future. 😊

So easy to book in we had problems with shower in our Seaview room they couldn't mend it so they moved us to another room not a Seaview but a bigger room we ha had bb&em which was lovely couldn't fault food entertainment good especially Thursday night drag queen very entertaining also played bingo every night

We go to Blackpool every year,this year we stopped at the Craig - y - Don.After a mishap and confusion over sea view roomsthat had been given to a customer of the same surname in error and the disappointment that ensued alternative arrangements were quickly made by Trevor and his staff.We had a wonderful time, the Hotel was very clean, good food, nice entertainment and the staff and management made the weekend a great stay.Given a 5 star because 6 star isn’t available, why, because once the Craig - y - Don knew that there had been an issue they quickly rallied to make a full apology and alternative arrangements, they made our stay a very welcoming and well cared for break, in this day and age I find this above and beyond service very rare.Many thanks to Trevor and all his staff, will be booking in again for our next Blackpool stay.Adam.

Have just returned from another excellent week at this Fabulous Hotel. Have stayed here a few times now and it never fails to impress. The Location and cleanliness is outstanding. We have just returned from another stay at the Craig-y-Don, staying again in a Double Sea View Room, which was lovely, fresh and modern. We choose the option to add the evening meal to our stay. The food is always nice with a good choice on offer and served in their large dining room/restaurant which like the rest of the hotel is decorated to a good standard.What sets the Craig-y-Don apart from other hotels we have stayed in is the amazing staff, who are committed to giving the guests the best stay. A big thank you to each and everyone one of them, in particular Daniel, Sara and Anna in the Restaurant, Monika from Housekeeping who looked after our room. Barbara, Amanda, Tim, Neil and Laura from Reception/Management team and Francisco in the Bar.Entertainment wise the drag queen on Thursday evening was really good, if there was one ask, it would be for some more comedy and more modern music, during the week’s line up of entertainment with some 90s/00s music

Great weekend in Blackpool. Lucky to have bright sunshine both days. Great hotel. Very clean and bright rooms. Felt fresh and modern. High quality breakfast, don’t know about evening meals as we didn’t partake. Entertainment from club singers and bingo both nights. We just dipped in and out of this as we were out both days/nights. The staff here are fantastic. Friendly and funny with that natural Blackpool edge. They know their customers and treat them with friendly good humour whilst providing top class service. Steps to access the hotel could be an issue for some but once inside there are lifts to all the floors. Loved our stay and would book here again.

one of the most comfortable accomodations ihave stayed at. the room was tatally adequate for our needs. the self service buffet breakfast was superb good quality food. bar offerd adequate choice of drinks and was resonably well priced. i would recommend the hotel to anyone. entertainment quite good as well.

This is my second stay at the Craig y don in the last 2 months or so.Enjoyed it so much the first time that when I saw they had an offer on for a 4 night bed breakfast and evening meal stay with live entertainment every night well, I just couldn't resist.My wife and I had a real good time.In all honesty my room wasn't as good on this occasion as we didn't go for the sea view but that was down to our choice.The room was still nice and big but the bed wasn't the most comfortable and we had a couple of steps leading up to the ensuite which were a bit difficult for me with having a disability but we made do.I thought the food was ok. There did seem to be a few people moaning about the food but I honestly don't think they're complaints were justified.There was a good choice to suit all diets. One thing I would say though is that, there were a few people having more than one desert each and in some cases some had 3 which left the choice left available to others was limited. Every evening I was looking forward to having the cheesecake but every evening there was none left so we had to settle for something less appealing. But still enjoyed it.They have a great team of staff. Every single one of them went above and beyond. I've stayed at many many hotels and I've never encountered so many staff members that are truly dedicated to their jobs so I applaud every single one of you.Every night was finished off by a great couple of hours of bingo and live entertainment. It really makes your stay more enjoyable so again thanks for that.I will without doubt be returning at some point in the next few months.Many many thanks.

What can I say nice hotel parking just round the corner of building excellent breakfast and evening meal rooms clean excellent entertainment brilliant staff this is our second time will definitely be back

We like blackpool and for the last 15 yrs we have stayed at this wonderful venue on many occasionsSpotless clean,professional and friendly staff good food and entertainment. real valuefor money I would highly recommend this hotel .

On the whole the accommodation was good and your breakfast was excellent in quality and number of choices.I was seriously concerned on the lack of support aids in the shower. The bath was slippery when wet which made it very unsafe whilst showering, whether young or older it was an opening for a serious fall.

I stayed with my granddaughter (age 11) and we had a lovely stay. In the evening She was entertained by the kids entertainment schedule which she loved and I watched the shows in the bar area, which also were very good and well received by everyone, we were lucky with the bingo on a few occasions which was great. We stayed in a sea view room which was suitable for us both and clean. The breakfast was lovely too. All the staff were very helpful and always seemed to be happy and smiling. For a 2 star I wasn’t expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised and will stay again on our next trip to blackpool

We felt a change in this hotel. We’ve been coming for 15 years, it was cold throughout hotel people were complaining, cold in bedroom through the night although this has never been case before, large family ordered McDonald’s food into main lounge where the entertainment and bingo was in on a night along with babies, they said now hotel was under new management u could bring food if any kind into main lounge !!!!!!!! New to us, staff always pleasant apart from mark bar man very rude in no time to serve us, Neil is great can’t do enough for us. Hotel very clean food ok to , we came home a day early due to how cold it was as my mother was with us and she was frozen especially at night.

Returning papa and nana with 3 grandchildren. Love this hotel that's why we have come back . Lovely clean rooms kids entertainment at night adults entertainment at night . Great views of the promenade. 5 minute walk to the central pier . A breakfast that can keep you going till lunch or even dinner .lovely friendly staff .Did have to open room windows to cool it down just a bit.Double bed and 3 single beds lots of room . Thinking of an excuse to come back looks like it's going to be next month for the May Bank Holiday😁

The staff are really helpful and its a clean hotel. We love it here great entertainment . Stayed 5 times now and off again in august .love it.

Stayed here with my son and daughter in law.loved every minute well cared for clean and every request was caterd for.

Overall pleased with our stay down side people save seats in bar with when they are not there very unfair.

Stayed at craig-y-don for 2 night which were very pleasant. Our group booked a family room and a double room. Family room was very spacious and suitable for children. Myself and my partner stayed in the double room which was nice and clean, and the bed very comfortable, we slept great both nights. Our 2 rooms were also seated together at breakfast without us requesting which was really nice and not expected. Breakfast itself was great and really set us up for day.

We were here for oursixtybirthday and had brilliant timecoming back in July with more family hopefully

From the minute we entered the doors until our time to leave we were treated like'family' Neil had my oatmilk in and made me feel special. The whole team were brilliant and they work very well at ensuring your stay is enjoyable. Keith in dining room alwaus had my special diet sorted for me and made sute everyone in the dining room was well tended to.The entertainment is always top form and bingo is great fun. First time staying here, we had a lovely relaxing break, rooms were spotless and the beds were so comfy we slept like logs. Tea tray was refilled every morning and the rooms were cleaned daily too.Breakfast was brilliant lots of choice and cooked to perfection and the breakfast staff were fabulous, the Welsh man was so funny we liked him lots.Location was great and a lovely garden area to sit out and chill.Overall just a really lovely place to stay with welcoming staff and I definitely will return again

Just come back and we've had a fantastic week as usual.went with my sister and her husband and the staff could not do enough for us especially Keith and Dan. Hotel is spotless and food is great and nothing is to much trouble. Have already booked to go again with grandchildren and will also squeeze in 1 more visit at least.

Stayed for3 DAY MIDWEEK BREAK. The hotel, room, and facilities were great Everything was very clean, the breakfast was good and the night-time entertainment was great. All staff were very friendly and pleasant.On the whole experience we will definitely be coming back again as i would have happily paid double the price. The only fault i can say is the bar does not have a great variety of draft beers but this is not a deal breaker.

What can I say, Fab hotel staff couldn’t do enough for you. Didn’t book a sea view but when we went into our room we had one and was great. Room was very clean and tidy and coffee etc was filled every day. Food is excellent. Lift to all floors, kids have there own room to play with Xbox, machines, soft play and a pool table. We will defiantly book again.

Been going to this hotel for line dancing weekend for many years now and alwayshave a fabulous time. Staff are marvellous and can’t do enough to make your stay special. I have to mention Neil as the place would not be the same without him and Keith who served our meals sometimes was wonderfully friendly but thanks to all the staff.

Fantastic stay as always. Keith in the restaurant goes above and beyond. Only disappointment was to find on checking the room I had requested on booking was given to someone else. I was advised on booking that it was available. Don’t really think that was fair. Other than that fantastic

Love this place always come never had to complain except this last time as radiator was not working all weekend and it was very cold they put a small heater in room but then that was only blowing cold air out so was no good but otherwise this hotel is the best in Blackpool always enjoy our stay here.

Interesting few days in this comfortable hotel.All staff work very hard to ensure guests are comfortable.Dining arrangements work well although space between tables was limited.The food was tasty and well presented.The service was good under the watchful eye Of Keith's management.

This was our first stay at the Craig Y Don, but it won't be our last. The welcome we received was brilliant. Everything was spot on. It's in a great location. The rooms were comfortable, the food was amazing and the entertainment was brilliant. All the staff worked hard to make sure we had a great time. We had a ball!Can't wait to come back.

Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a friendly. Clean. Spacious very well ran hotel with a high range of entertainment for everyone. We have had the best week away cant wait to return in May.

Not our 1st time staying in Craig y don and certainly won't be our last. From Neil the manager right down to the housekeepers the staff are incredible and nothing seems to be a problem. The rooms are clean and tidy and the food is the best we have had to date. Your 2 chefs should be proud for the quality of the food which was upto Michelin standard. The salmon was mouth watering along with cod which was steamed to perfection. A big thankyou to them guys who are under pressure to serve the best and they absolutely nailed it. Dan in the restaurant is the guy you always want to be around as he has the most chilled professional attitude I have ever come across and nothing phased him. The barstaff are brilliant and prices are reasonable.The only fault I could mention is maybe you should have a table reservation in the entertainment area for larger groups so they are guaranteed to be sat together rather than spread around the whole area.Other than this there is no negative worth a mention. A brilliant stay at I would describe as the top Blackpool hotel looking forward to our return in the near future

Hotel and food up to usual great standard. Room (sea view) very comfortable and very clean with daily servicing. In the bar the entertainment was top drawer we really enjoyed it. BUT what really makes this hotel is the staff from the Manager Neil to little Ell in the dining room the staff were amazing and extremely welcoming, I cannot name all of them, but they all impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. We have stayed here on more than one occasion now, we chose the Craig Y Don as our venue because of the Fantastic Staff, clean rooms, fantastic entertainment, great value for money! We always use the Craig-Y-Don for football visits. We are a group of Luton fans and God willing will be visiting again next year. Hotel rooms are cozy and quiet breakfast excellent what more can you ask for.

Enjoyable stay

Excellent 2star hotel right on sea front spotlessly clean welcoming staff and good wholesome food and well managedwe’ve been going for many years and have never had a problemAlso you always feel safe never a spot of unpleasantness have we witnessed over the years it really does suit all our family. Well done to all especially Keith the waiter what a nice man.

Very nice stay at the Craig-y-Don, excellent package and staff were polite and helpful when required. Excellent food provided and restaurant staff were really nice! The happy hour was bit confusing and could’ve done with allowing couples to get 2 drinks at time (especially when looking after little ones). Loved the race evening and entertainment too. Room was comfortable although was unable to close the window as was broke so room was cold for little one at times. Overall, excellent stay with the family and would aim to return again!

Love coming to craiy-y-don, everyone is so friendly and the service is excellent,you feel like one big family here ,the food is great and the rooms cosy only one thing wrong I have to go home ,been a few times now and will definitely be coming back.

Just returned from CYD(041122). Had a great time with family group(14). Weather wasn’t brilliant but managed to do all that we had planned ( Sea LifeAquarium/ Tower etc).The staff at the CYD always make you feel like a member of the family. We were in room 72 which had a lovely sea view and was very comfortable.We had BB/ Evening meal which was varied and good value for money. We even had a ‘Free Bar’ promotion thrown in !All the staff deserve a special mention from the Housekeeping to the Receptionist. Everyone always greeted you with a smile.Two things I think would improve the hotel overall is a ramp for the less mobile folk for easier access, and non-slip matting in the ground floor Mens toilet, some less mobile gentlemen were struggling.We will definitely be back !Jeff & Linda C

We stayed at Craig-Y-Don for a long weekend in October 2022. The staff were all fantastic and made the weekend break even better. From the friendly staff on reception, to the helpful, happy staff in the restaurant, to the fabulous cleaner. The hotel itself is central to all amenities and was clean and tidy. Been staying here now every October for a fair few years now, great hotel, great staff, great entertainment, was looked after by Keith, Paula and Daniel at breakfast and dinner. 10 out of 10 to the chef as the food was amazing.

Another amazing 3 days spent at the Craigydon-don, we stayed in the family seaview room which was lovely. From arriving till leaving Neil & the team made our break perfect, we had only book B&B but once again booked the evening meal every night as it’s a real treat.My 2 boys & us can’t wait to return next yr for another fun filled few days next HalloweenCan’t recommend this hotel enough

We had a fabulous time staying at The Craig-y-Don, as we do every Halloween. A great atmosphere and welcoming staff, not to mention the delicious cooked breakfast. We look forward to our annual trip to Blackpool and would not consider staying anywhere other than The Craig-y-Don 👍

Great hotel staff friendly food goodas always

We visitedas a group of adults and children. Some of the adults and children ingroup are profoundly deaf and everyone in the hotel were accomodating. The staff in the restaurant were very good and tried to sign to the guests. The food was good and the rooms very comfortable. Everyone had fun and look forward to another stay. Thank you Neil for looking after us all.

The hotel was everything the brochure said it was. From the warm welcome from Neil to the all the staff in the restaurant and bar nothing was to much trouble to being checked out by the lovely Tim our whole stay was a fantastic experience

We stayed in a family room with our young grandson. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was showing signs of needing a little makeover, but that’s all. The restaurant for breakfast was light and refreshing and the food was lovely. The staff made us all welcome. I would recommend a stay here

I'm writing this on behave of my parents..whom I booked this stay for...I'm just so glad I picked this hotel for them...they said it was their best stay in Blackpool..ever..and they've been going for 50 odd years... the entertainment was amazing...their Seaview room was just beautiful...and the hotel meals were 1st class...they chose to eat at the hotel every night instead of eating out...I'm very thankful that my parents had the best time and it's all because of the wonderful stay at this hotel..they'll be returning very soonDonna

Just back from a three night break, too short sadly. Room was clean, well decorated and bright. Food was excellent, fresh and tasty, chips crispy so hard when served on buffet. Staff were all lovely and friendly, could not do enough for you. Special mention must go to keith in the restaurant, such a asset. Friend and ready to make you feel at ease. Entertainment good. Sea lounge conformable and so clean.Over all a Gem, ideally located and a home away from home. Can not wait to return, would not stay anywhere else. Well done team Craig y Don!

Never stayed at the Craig y Don before .walked past it a few times when staying elsewhere. Always seemed to be plenty of people sat outside.So booked it to see the illuminations with gran kids 3 and 5 year's old.Didn't arrive till nearly 7 on the Friday night .was told where I could park the car around the back of the hotel for free . But took a while to find somewhere.Room was clean and tidy nice and warm room 66 only 1 flight of stairs to it there is a lift but stairs are quicker . Went out for something to eat then back to hotel. Just in time for bingo .lol . Great views of the illuminations . Then later on in the room next to reception was a kids entertainerthere was only our 2 grandchildren there it was so personal and the entertainer was great . Saturday morning breakfast was buffet style cookedand very very nice room number on the tables . The room was at the back of the hotel so not a great view did try to book a sea view room but they were all taken .thought it might of entertained the grandkids but they were tired both nights and slept well. Room was nice and quiet. Clean and tidy hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpfulcan't fault the hotel . It was lovely

Had never stayed here before but would definitely stay again. I booked direct and asked for seaview rooms (I was also booking a room for a relative who was accompanying us). We were given 2 lovely rooms that were right next door to each other. The rooms were spotlessly clean & very well presented.All the staff were so nice & friendly & couldn't be more helpful. Breakfast was really nice & others who stayed for the evening people were very satisfied with the food. Ir always feels a big responsibility to book for other people but we were all totally delighted with this hotel. Can't think of any negatives, would 100% recomnend. A lovely, safe, clean hotel in a great location.

Brilliant hotel the entertainment was first rate the staff were brilliant very professional and polite nothing too much for them. Keith in the dining room was very polite and even though we only told him our name on first day he remembered our names all week and he was always cheerful our room needed a new lick of paint but did not make it unpleasant very comfortable and clean we had sea view and it was first rate the cleaning staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them as for breakfast and 3 course evening meal were first class and the chef was very good at his job never had a bad part of any of the meal. All in all very pleasant stay thank you

Myself, husband and our teenage son stayed at the Craig Y Don September weekend. Check in was a breeze thanks to the lovely Laura even though a whole coach load of people arrived at same time.!!!Neil and all the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff work sohard to make everyone’s stay comfortable and enjoyable and the entertainment is amazing top acts and in the morning a lovely buffet breakfast is servedto set you up for the day ahead . Overall another fab stay at the Craig Y Don can’t wait for our next stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff are so nice, good entertainment and breakfast was good.Only one moan: people leaving jackets on chairs. It did not matter what time you went for a table, as they were all booked.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in a lovely Double Sea View Room. We have to say that the Craig-y-Don is one of the few “Jewels”in the hotels in Blackpool.Considering the current economic climate that has existed since Covid, it is ever more Important that hotels provide the best customer experience along with value for money. This is where Craig-y-Don wins hand down and why they are doing so well and doing it properly where others fail.The room we stayed in was lovely, fresh and modern. The dining room/restaurant is impressive and stretches the length of the hotel, again modern and inviting and is very well organised for serving Breakfast and Evening Dinner. The food is delicious with plenty of choice and the staff are so helpful and attentive, and nothing is too much trouble. On the ground floor there is the reception area and to the right a large lounge area with a bar. This has comfortable seating with views over to the beach. There is also a smaller lounge with a pool table and a separate games room. The location is close to the town centre with the tram stop directly opposite. Having a nice comfortable and well decorated hotel is only half the picture. The customer experience is is key to success and this is where the amazing staff make the whole thing complete. All the staff we met were committed and driven to giving the guests the best stay. Unfortunately we don’t know everyone’s name as yet, but to mention a few for now, Laura, Paula, Keith, Corey, Daniel, Tim, Andre and Neil.The 4 nights we stayed was just not long enough, we were so very sad to leave at the end of our stay and return home, we will be back as soon as possible.

Simply cannot fault the hotel. Accommodation is spotless, staff very friendly. Food is lovely and entertainment was great. Booking for next year.

Clean friendly hotel, perfect location right in the centre of everything.Always had something on a night time we really enjoyed it.Only bad thing was breakfast is at 8.30-9.30 so had to set alarm to get up but it was worth getting up for and if you want an evening meal you have to pre book it in advance.Room where spotlessly clean and the sea view was a added bonus.Will definitely be going back.

Hotel its self is excellent good clean hotel maid service is vry excellent reception is always vry helpfull but I've got to say entertainment not vry good as same artist appereing could do with change in the artist you book as the ones u have now are not vry good in my opinion but everything else is spot on

Just got back from a few days here, first time we have stayed at the Craig-y-Don. We had one single room & one double room on the second floor which were both of a good size & very clean with everything we needed in them for our stay. All the staff we met were very friendly most of all Keith in the dining room who goes round all the tables introducing him self & giving out sweets. The buffet breakfast is very nice & enough to keep you going till lunch time. The bar is nice over looking the prom with bingo & nightly entertainment. There is also a separate lounge & games room plus a lift to all floors. We only had one small problem which was one of our showers didn’t work on the first morning but after reporting it it was fixed after we came back to the room after breakfast. It would be nice if decaf coffee & tea could be on offer in the dining room.

Yet again another brilliant stay at the CYD,the food, the rooms, the staff,and the ENTERTAINMENT is just superb.Great to see old friends and meet new friends. Well done to Laura, Neil and the team. Looking forward to the new year bash and Elvis in Febuary. Many Many Thanks to you all

Nice relaxing stay room was clean on arrival breakfast was good on the two night stay evening meal was nice for us (others did complain about standard of food outside to us)r room was tidied again by cleaners after 1 night wich is goodentertainment is fair if you like what is on ie if your a little more ageddrink prices where fairly pricedoverall a nice stay and my grandson enjoyed it aswellonly problem was window latch broken in bathroom so could not close window so wind blows in and bathroom door rattled with it wich was anoying whe trying to get to sleep

Hotel is fine, rooms are clean, however the shower room we had was very small and we could hardly turn around in it. entertainment is o.k. bingo everynight and occasional quiz. However soup had no sign on to say what it was,desserts were lovely but main meals were not to my liking apart from Sunday meal which was really lovely. Stayed for the weekend with my Aunt. Check in fast and friendly, room Spacious bright and clean, bed comfortable. Entertainment and bingo was ex excellent as was breakfast. Staff are all lovely and friendly and made you feel totally relaxed. This was our 1st time at this hotel but not our last we had a lovely weekend. The only drawback was the stairs at the entrance.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is spotless. The food was very good, plenty of variety and options for the children. Nightly entertainment was excellent and the children thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment provided for them. The staff go above and beyond to assist you, the customer service is first class especially Daniel who took care of us in the dining room this week. We will look forward to staying again.

Stayed at the craig_y_don for a week with r 13 year old twins and we all enjoyed everything about this hotel .. the family bedroom was spacious and the housekeepers straightened the beds, left clean towels etc each day .. the entertainment was brilliant for adults and kids starting with a wee game of bingo .. the food well what can i say the breakfast u had tea/ coffee toast etc then u picked what cooked breakfast you wanted the evening meal u had soup and roll and there was a few choices every night my daughter tried the salmon and sauce and ate every bite then loads of choices for desert all the food was lovely my favourite was the roast beef..the staff where all really lovely especially keith who always had a pocket full of sweets for all the guests so paula, neil, dan, Michael and keith thank u for a lovely holiday will be booking again for next year

Just returned from another fabulous few days at the Craig y Don, this hotel never fails us it is always clean and comfortable with excellent food and entertainment. The staff are always friendly and hard working particularly Sara and Micheal. We will be returning in October with friends for whom this will be there first visit to the Craig y Don but I am sure they will love it just as much as we do

Great first experience. I got recommended this hotel. Staff were very friendly.Even other guests seemed friendly and spoke. Breakfast was lovely well organised. Great entertainment for kids on the evenings we were there.We travelled over to the lakes after been at this hotel and my children said “why aren’t the staff as friendly as the Craig hotel”. Now that says something when children notice. Would definitely book up again next year and would recommend this hotel. Very central hotel.

The rooms are clean and the beds are really comfortable.I was shocked as only staying for two days, that after one day I had room service! Beds re-made and my tea tray refilled, as I thought I had ran out!Breakfast was perfectly cooked! The resteraunt clean and staff helpful and friendly! Only thing was breakfast would suit us more until 10 as we are not early eaters but that can't be helped!The hotel is perfectly situated central to everything and we would love to stay again!Thank you for our first solo away and making us feel comfortable and safe!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. We added the evening meals to our stay and the food was enjoyable and thanks to Keith our waiter nothing was to much trouble for him.

We only stayed one night as we went to see the air show. Never stayed before but will definitely stay again. Staff were lovely especially Keith the waiter. He was so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us as we are disabled.Only downside is the parking- there isn’t any unless you’re really lucky to get a spot in the street behind the hotel .Highly recommend

Stayed here for a weekend the staff where friendly & helpful! Room was ok clean and tidy enough!Breakfast was lovely really good selection and spotless clean in the dining area too!Will definitely be staying here again!Only issues that we had was no parking at this hotel, although they give u a list of near by car parks to help!The outside area could be a bit cleaner but again it’s blackpool and it’s right on the sea front with a lot of people walking by! Great views from the hotel front looking right onto the ocean!I think with all this hot weather we’re having the blackpool hotels are all needing air conditioning now as it was unbearable to sleep with the heat in the rooms, I have never been as warm in my life that weekend.

Second time staying at this lovely hotel. With extended family in 2 rooms.The staff make this place. Can’t do enough for you. I saw a young lad at breakfast helping an elderly lady & he was so kind & courteous. The man at reception & all the bar staff were lovely too. I cannot fault the customer service.Great entertainment and reasonable bar prices.The rooms are very clean. If I had one criticism it would be the mattress has seen better days & wasn’t very comfortable.All in all we had a lovely stay. Thank you 😊

Perfect location a few minutes from the Central Pier. From the moment we arrived (with 4 young grandchildren) we were so impressed with friendly and welcoming staff. We had a very large family room which was spotless. Lovely new, thick towels which were changed every day.We were half board and the food was excellent. There was delicious soup and a choice of 3 meals for dinner every day - all cooked to perfection, as well as 3 or 4 sweet choices and ice cream. Breakfast was wide choice of cereals, juice, yogurt and full English. Again perfectly cooked. The lovely man serving the food worked so hard to make sure everyone got exactly what they asked for, and his cheery smile never left his face. Our waiters, Michael and Keith, just couldn’t do enough for us.There was bingo and entertainment on each night and on 2 of our 3 nights there was a Children’s entertainer on. Drinks at the bar are very reasonably priced and there was a great choice. A great hotel which we would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back. Well Don Craig y Don

I stayed at the Craig Y Don from the 21/7/23 to 25/7/22 with my daughter and two friends. From the moment we checked in the customer service was 100% spot on. Even though it has been 12 months since my last stay all the staff remembered us and made us very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable, the domestic staff do a fantastic job every single day. Breakfast & evening meals are worth every penny you don’t have to worry if you have special dietary needs the Craig Y Don caters for everyone. The dining roomstaff are all hard working, friendly & welcoming. Great entertainment put on for all generations every night with great bar staff. I could go on & on, how spectacular the Craig Y Don is but I’d probably won’t have enough space 🤣 Anyway I would just like to say is that the Craig Y Don is by far the best hotel in Blackpool, worth every penny if you want clean, comfort, good food, great entertainment and fantastic staff. Book the Craig Y Don now. Stayed at the Craig-y-Don Hotel at the end of July 2022GREAT hotelclean , good rooms friendlystaff. Value for money. Had cheese rolls at lunchtime with a pint, rolls were freshly made and good prices. On one occasiontheywere no rolls left and the barman on duty(sorrdidn'tgethis name) went and made 3 rolls up for ourselves .Keith and Grace in the dinning room were , a credit to the hotel, and went out of their way to make you feel welcome.David

We have been coming to Blackpool for over 20 years and this was our 1st time at The Craig Y Don. From the moment we arrived to the morning we left the Staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was very clean, bed was so comfortable, really nice powerful shower.Breakfast was buffet style and gorgeous.The entertainment/bingo was great, and there's even entertainment in a separate lounge for the kids. All in all we couldn't have wanted or wished for anything more. This Hotel will definitely be our home now when we stay in Blackpoo. Give all your team a huge pat on the back. Thanks again.

the craigy_don was the best hotel i have stayed in the food was very good the room i was in was very good and the entertainment was very good all the staff were brilliant i am a disabled man the staff couldn't do enough for me i can't wait to go back in September again i have found my ideal hotel i have been going to Blackpool for about seven years now and the craigy_don is the best Hote i have ever stayed in and it's reasonably cheap i expected it to be dearer than what i paid for and it's good for children as well they get there own entertainment at night so the parents can get areal for a while which i think is excellent

I've been staying in Blackpool for over 40 years and have always dismissed the Craig-y-Don. I'm so glad I've finally stayed here and regret not having done so sooner. Very warm welcome from the reception to start with. Room was large with a sea view (73). Spotlessly clean bedding and a decent sized bathroom with excellent shower. Breakfast was excellent too. Nice hot food and plenty of choice with yoghurts, cereal and fruit too along with toast and plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice. Varied evening entertainment in the bar area and a decent bar too. Tables and chairs also outside the front to sit and watch the world go by. We both agreed we'd definitely come back for another stay here as everyone was so incredibly friendly. Many thanks.

We always stay at the Craig-y-Don as it is in a super location just past Central Pier. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast. Rooms clean and tidy. Already booked up for next year! Very highly recommend.

Stayed two nights 8 of us and 1 child. Staff very good especially Michael goes above and beyond. Buffet breakfast excellent. Rooms clean . Only thing misleading says on the web free parking at rear didn’t realise it was street parking thought it would be in hotel grounds like the hotel next door. On the whole we all enjoyed our stay.

We visited the Craig y don for 2 nights for my 60th birthday & our 9 Yr old granddaughter Grace came too. We had a very enjoyable stay as always, all staff are always so nice & were very good with Grace. We are booked for mon-fri in September& can't wait 😀

Just back from long weekend at this hotel. (1st to 4th July).We were there with our two daughters, their husbands and 4 grandchildren aged 2, 5, 11 and 15.Good sized bedrooms and breakfast was excellent.Slept well as bed was comfy. Staff were so helpful from reception, dining and bar.The younger kids loved the childrens entertainment and we had good nights in the main lounge listening to the singers and having a dance.If we come back again to Blackpool we will certainly stay here.listening to the singers on at night.

This is our 2nd stay here and exceeded expectation. The prices at the bar are competitive and the rooms clean and comfortable. Staff are very polite and professional. 3course lunches are available as an optional extra should you wish and it's very good food and cheaper than eating a 3 course elsewhere. Nightly cabaret is excellent especially if you get to see ant who is probably one of the best I have ever come across a definite 5star

Staff are great, pleasant and helpful. Double bed however is far too small, which didn’t make for a comfortable nights sleep I’m afraid. Definitely will have to have 2 beds next time we go.

The large restaurant was impressive, beautifully decorated. several serving stations, meaning did nothave to queue up to get food and drink. We could only stay for 3 nights this time. I would give you five stars, the food was fantastic the staff where great, entertainment was great. The rooms I can’t fault. The only thing was the stairs going into the hotel. Some people struggled getting up and down them. We where a party of 6 and we all loved our stay, and would definitely come back again.

We dropped in to say hello to the lovely Neil as we had a unplanned visit to Blackpool myself and my daughter. What a friendly welcome we received and we ended up staying overnight. Absolutely beautiful hotel,spotlessly clean. We had a beautiful spacious twin sea view room we had.Nightly bingo followed by two class cabaret performances. Breakfast was beautiful as always. Got to say this hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay just perfect. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Blackpool! Look forward to seeing you all in later in the year.

Good stay , friendly helpful staff . Nice and clean with good amenities . Good breakfast and dinner . Rooms cleaned and beds made up every day , coffee and tea topped up every day . Would stay there again .

Have stayed in this hotel a number of times before. Always good. I lost my husband in January last year to Covid so it was the first time on holiday without him. I can honestly say that this is the one hotel that i would feel confident staying in on my own. The staff all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They cannot do enough for you. The food is excellent too. Special thanks to Paula, Keith and Michael for making my holiday with my son so special.

Stayed here for many years now . Fabulous location so central . Rooms spotless and food lovely. Such friendly helpful staff my daughter was really impressed by Rebecca . Only negative on this visit was the way one of the restaurant staff was spoken to by his manager in front of guests very unprofessional , it should have been done in private . Otherwise great stay we will be back.

Our stay at Craig-y-don was perfect. The staff in all areas where so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Cleanlinessof the rooms and all communal areas are a credit to there housekeeping team. The breakfast and evening meal was excellent all our party have said its was the best hotel in Blackpool we had stayed in. The evening entertainment was a good party atmosphere. We have all decided the theCraig-y-Don is our hotel to go too on our next visit to Blackpool! Thank you to all the staff for making my 6Oth birthday to remember!!

First time we have stayed here and in my opinion its the best hotel by farwe were very impressed by the room my granddaughter was really happy she had her own room with a connecting door.the staff was very friendly and helpful,entertainment was great we played bingo while my granddaughter was being entertain by the children's entertainer in another room,breakfast was a buffet one with plenty of choice.the hotel is very central to all amenities will definitely be staying here again well done.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome,the gentleman who checked us in was lovely and full of joy!The lounge/bar area was lovely and spacious. Staff always had a smile on their faces and was very friendly,the lady on the bar was lovely and very friendly.The room was spotless and very spacious with a great sea view.Breakfast was lovely and everything was cooked fresh. We had kids entertainment on the Saturday night which was an added bonus. We will definetly be returning and highly recommend this hotel.

Yet again a very enjoyable stay! I’ve been visiting this hotel for years and the standard only gets better each time! Very clean,food lovely and the staff can’t do enough to ensure your stay is a very pleasant one! My grandchildren over the years have loved it! Special mention to laura&neil who have always gone above an beyond to accommodate my needs.

Excellent stay at this lovely hotel everything was as expected and more. First time stay here and we would defo be back in the near future. Staff are very friendly and accommodating the rooms r lovely and spacious and very clean and the meals were spot on. Entertainment was exceptional aswell. We Had an absolutely brilliant stay at the Craig Y Don, all the staff were like friends rather than employees especially Keith such a gentleman, the food was top notch and the night entertainment was excellent and the hotel room was lovely and clean,highly recommended and we will be returning in the near future.

We stayed at the Craig-y-Don for a birthday weekend stay.It was a last minute booking and we arrived late but that didn't matter. We were met at reception by a very friendly guy. Check in was simple and we went straight to our room. The room was rather small but it was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. Lots of choice and fresh. The hotel also had its own bar and entertainment which we enjoyed on Friday night. The hotel was ideally located, clean, bright and the staff were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
